Our History
Pure Ink Marketing is the self proclaimed new kid on the block. This young agency bears its roots in the economic downturn as both a product of and a response to its impact. As big business cut back their budgets, the first dollar to go was in advertising and then personnel.
This had 2 major results:
- Former big business employees turned to small business opportunities to survive.
- Many talented and creative designers, advertisers and creatives were out of work and on the free agent market.
The Big Idea!
In his previous job, Pure Ink founder, Jake Knight, sat amongst business owners, corporate executives, and local community leaders who shared a growing fear of the economic downturn and wondered if their businesses would survive.
Together, they sat through numerous seminars and strategy meetings to assess how to position their brands against the turbulence.
The recurring message from marketing professionals and strategists aimed toward a concept without fully measurable returns or quantifiable results, but rather built on the foundations of customer relationships and word of mouth advertising in the space of Social Networking.
One by one, these executives dismissed the idea that they could stand out in such environments as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and dozens of other rapidly growing markets. They cited reasons such as a lack of resources, time, and a shear lack of understanding.
A Strategic Move
In 2009, Jake relocated his efforts to Greenville, South Carolina and started Pure Ink Marketing in an effort to join the creative minds of South Carolina's upstate to help educate these companies and provide the necessary direction they need.
Pure Ink Marketing is in the business of providing companies with unique brand strategies in digital and print media, by combining powerful and inexpensive tools to our clients and providing a leading edge in today’s business market.
